Pediatrics

 The pediatrics program emphasizes on the unique spectrum of children growth (infancy to adolescence), reviews children’s normal growth and developmental events and nutritional requirements in different ages, and emphasizes the most common diseases affecting children of different ages. More emphasis is on the role of the primary preventive measures, health education and family consultation, and mental and social aspects of the health and disease. The department of pediatrics benefits from 10 academic staff and currently, pediatrics residents are studying in this department. Areas of activity in the department of pediatrics are: training and provision of specialty clinical services in the university affiliated hospitals and health centers.
