General Surgery The Department of Surgery aims at providing state-of-the-art, comprehensive care for patients requiring surgery in the region, training qualified surgeons in various fields of surgery, and conducting innovative research programs funded by the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education. Besides, this department tries to improve patients' quality of care, train residents and fellows of surgery, and educate the next generations of researchers. Currently, the department consists of 9 academic staff.
